Day 1: Pico Arieiro - Funchal
Today we start our adventure tour with a minibus transfer from our bike station in Funchal to the second highest peak on the island: the Pico do Arieiro at 1,810 m above sea level. A breathtaking view of the entire Madeira mountain range awaits us here before we descend into the valley on narrow paths through the ecological park above Funchal.
Into paradise
Our first stop is the former sheep hut, now known as the “Abrigo do Poiso” restaurant. After a short break, we continue our ride towards Santo da Serra, where we glide down to an altitude of around 600 m on road and gravel paths. From there, we follow the Levada da Serra do Faial towards Camacha and on to the beautiful Vale Paraíso, also known as Paradise Valley. The way back to Funchal takes us along the old regional road.

Day 2: Belle Vue - Poiso Machico
On the second day of our tour, we start from the bike station in Funchal and take a minibus transfer to the Poiso Pass, which is located at an altitude of 1,418 m.
In the first section of our tour, we cycle at a relaxed pace in the direction of Santo da Serra, initially following roads and dirt tracks up to an altitude of around 600 meters. We then follow the Levada da Serra do Faial in the direction of Portela. After about 10 km, we take a break to enjoy the beautiful view of the north coast of Madeira.
From Portela, the route takes us along some dirt roads towards Fajã dos Rolos, where we are once again rewarded with spectacular views of the Machico Valley. At the end of the day, we reach Machico from Fajã dos Rolos via the old regional road, where we finally reach sea level.

Day 3: Santana - São Jorge
Our tour starts in Guindaste, where we head up the mountain to the Levada do Caldeiro Verde. As we follow the levada, we enjoy the path through the Parque Florestal das Queimadas, which offers us numerous magnificent views. After a short stop at the “Casa de Colmo” in Santana, we take a lunch break and continue along the old main road that connected the various villages of Madeira and begins near the Achado do Felpa.
We walk along beautiful forest paths surrounded by laurel and eucalyptus trees until we reach an altitude of 837 meters. From there, we have a fantastic view of the mountain slopes and the Madeira coast. Our tour ends at Arco de San Jorge, right by the sea.

Day 4: Paul da Serra - Ribeira da Janela
The tour starts in Paúl da Serra, Madeira's high plateau (1500 m altitude). Surrounded by windmills and impressive views of the northern valleys, we ride on wonderful, rocky single trails, which are not too steep, to the western part of the plateau.
We have the opportunity to explore the Fanal area, known for its remarkable native tree species, while gently grazing cows complete the scenery. Shortly afterwards, based on a recommendation from the guide, we have the choice of using some forest singletrails or continuing on the road to reach our destination.
Our route finally takes us to Ribeira da Janela, where a picturesque descent with a magnificent view of the impressive north coast awaits us!

Day 5: Calheta - Ponta do Pargo (west side)
We take our van from Porto Moniz to Fonte do Bispo, at an altitude of around 1241 meters. At the beginning of the route, we have the option of either riding on gravel and dirt roads or taking the single trails directly. In this area, there are always breathtaking views of the west side of the island and the North Atlantic.
After about 30 km we reach the Ponta do Pargo lighthouse, which was inaugurated in 1922 and is located at the westernmost tip of the island, on an impressive cliff 290 meters above sea level.

Day 6: Tour - Fanal - by cross country or e-bike
From our store in Funchal, we set off by van in the direction of Paul da Serra, Madeira's largest and most impressive plateau with an average altitude of around 1500 meters.
In the first section of the tour, we cycle along unpaved and gravel paths and enjoy spectacular views of Ribeira Brava, Ponta do Sol and other mountains. After around 10 kilometers, we reach the main road, on which we continue until we reach Fanal at an altitude of around 1200 meters. A beautiful forest with centuries-old Laurisilva trees awaits us there, where we will explore for around 10 kilometers.
At the end of the tour, we descend to Ribeira da Janela, where we finish our ride at sea level.

Day 7: Free day
On the seventh day, our clients have the option of exploring an area they particularly enjoyed or choosing an alternative plan based on the best weather and terrain conditions to ensure a successful final day.
Alternatively, this day can be left free to enjoy another activity, such as hiking, boating or simply relaxing and having fun.
