From the bike station in Funchal, we cycle along the Estrada Monumental (hotel district) to Camara de Lobos with various historical and scenic highlights. In Camara de Lobos, the island's fishing village and home to the Espada fishermen with their special equipment for catching deep-sea fish, we visit the shipyard and take a break in the picturesque alleyways of the old town.
